Connect AI apps to Kynso

Ask Claude, ChatGPT or another AI app “What's on my day?”, “Plan tomorrow from my backlog” or “Add these to my Work profile”. It works with your real Kynso, and only as you allow. Connecting AI apps comes with Kynso Pro.

The address

Every AI app asks for the same thing: this address. You'll sign in to Kynso when it connects; there is no key or password to paste.

https://kynso.app/api/mcp

Claude

  1. On claude.ai or in the Claude desktop app, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Kynso and paste the address above. Leave the advanced fields (client ID and secret) empty.
  3. Choose Connect. Kynso opens: sign in, pick the profiles and what Claude may do, and choose Allow.
  4. In a chat, turn the Kynso connector on and ask away. Connectors you add on the web also appear in Claude's phone apps.

Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http kynso https://kynso.app/api/mcp, then /mcp to sign in.

ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT's settings, under Apps & Connectors, turn on Developer mode (available on paid plans).
  2. Create a connector, name it Kynso, paste the address above and choose OAuth for authentication.
  3. Sign in to Kynso when it opens, choose what ChatGPT may do, and choose Allow.

ChatGPT asks you to confirm before anything that changes your Kynso. Menu names can differ a little between versions.

Other apps

Any app that can add a remote MCP server with sign-in works the same way: Cursor, VS Code (GitHub Copilot agent mode), Windsurf, Zed, Mistral Le Chat, Goose, LibreChat and more. For example, in VS Code's mcp.json:

{ "servers": { "kynso": { "type": "http", "url": "https://kynso.app/api/mcp" } } }

Apps that only run local servers can use a bridge: npx mcp-remote https://kynso.app/api/mcp

What an AI app can do

  • Read: a day's tasks and daily checks, search your tasks and backlog, your projects, and a day's note if you allow notes.
  • Change: add, edit, complete, move and snooze tasks, add subtasks and projects, tick daily checks, and add a page to a day's note. It can never rewrite or delete what you wrote in a note.
  • Remove: mark a task won't do, or delete one. These are off unless you turn them on, and AI apps ask you before doing them.

It can't reach your account, billing, settings, photos or voice notes, and it can't merge or delete profiles.

You stay in control

  • Profiles and permissions: you choose them when connecting and can change them any time in Settings → Connected apps.
  • Activity and Undo: every change an AI app makes is listed there, with Undo, even after you disconnect it.
  • Disconnect: one tap ends its access at once.
  • Privacy: what an AI app reads is sent to that app's provider and handled under their terms. Kynso never uses your notes to train AI. See the privacy policy.

If something doesn't work

  • “Connecting AI apps comes with Pro”: the account you signed in with is on the free plan. Go Pro in the Kynso app or on kynso.app, then connect again.
  • It can't find a task: the task may be in a profile you didn't allow. Add the profile in Settings → Connected apps.
  • It says it isn't allowed: turn that permission on in Settings → Connected apps.
  • It stopped working: disconnect it in Kynso, then connect it again from the AI app.
